This Aptera, which is the Launch Edition, is a real car. The Aptera is scheduled for production this year, despite its spaceship-like appearance.
Aptera Motors claims that it is doing "something no other automakers have been brave enough to do" with it.
Aptera Motors intends to develop the world's most energy-efficient automobile by harnessing the sun's energy.
Its ultra-lightweight and aerodynamic design makes it the Aptera Launch Edition. In point of fact, it boasts a drag coefficient of only 0.13.
Aptera used AI to design the car and will build much of it using 3D printing to accomplish this.
It has solar panels all over it, which not only give it a strange appearance but also give it a range of up to 64 kilometers.
The automaker claims that drivers may never actually need to charge their vehicle because that range can be achieved by simply parking it in the sun.
Aptera performance
The Launch Edition, according to Aptera, will be powerful enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmh in just four seconds and reach a top speed of 163 kilometers per hour.
It also claims that it will be able to drive 64 kilometers per day on solar power and travel up to 1,609 kilometers on a single charge.
According to Aptera, there are already more than 40,000 reservations.
Additionally, it intends to produce 10,000 units annually following launch.
The company intends to rapidly expand and has ambitious plans.
In fact, by 2028, it intends to operate eight distinct assembly plants worldwide.
Aptera car price
