PlayStation 5 gaming hardware might be included in future entertainment systems from Sony Honda Mobility.
In March 2022, Honda and Sony announced a joint venture with the intention of jointly developing future electric vehicles. Their plans may now incorporate PlayStation 5 gaming hardware into their entertainment systems.
The new company, which goes by the name Sony Honda Mobility, plans to introduce its first vehicle in 2025, with Honda in charge of design and Sony in charge of service and entertainment. For the best-in-class in-car experience, the goal is to concentrate on music and movies in addition to gaming.
"People are moved by Sony's content, services, and entertainment technologies. Izumi Kawanishi, the president of the company, stated, "This is our strength against Tesla. We are adapting these assets to mobility."
He went on to say that an infotainment platform could technically incorporate PS5 technology.
Even a concept car from the joint venture has yet to be shown to us. However, Honda's Prologue electric SUV, which it plans to launch in 2024, was recently unveiled. We might be able to figure out what to expect based on this.
It has neat lines and a "neo-rugged" design that is similar to the 2023 Honda CR-V. On the inside, there will be a drive display panel that is 11 inches wide and an infotainment display that is 11.3 inches wide in the middle of the dashboard.
