Believe it or not, this is a fake Ferrari. But it looks really good.

Only a select few ever achieve their dream of owning a $1.5 million Ferrari. However, that has not stopped a group of friends from a small rural Vietnam village from acting on their own.

Yes, the guys built their very own LaFerrari, which resembles the real thing in appearance and even in sound.

The built-from-scratch homemade LaFerrari took the NHTV crew 250 days to construct.

Additionally, they claim that they built it as a present for their car-lover daughters.

What was their method?

The men started with a shabby Toyota Crown and stripped it down to just the engine and chassis.

They cleaned and spray-painted the gasoline engine with four cylinders from the Toyota Crown to make it look like new.

Then they put it right behind the seats, making it look like the real Ferrari with a middle engine.

The fun part came next.

The Frame

The guys started from scratch and built a custom frame by taking precise measurements.

After the steel frame was built, the guys went to a nearby quarry to get some clay. We think this was added for laughs because they eventually used perfectly square pieces of clay.

After that, they apply the clay to the frame and sculpt it with their hands to resemble the Ferrari's lines.

After this is finished, the mold is covered in fiberglass to make the car's actual body panels.

The level of detail is incredible, with every shape and line representing the genuine $1.5 million supercar.

After that, they sanded it down and painted it.

Additionally, they chose the well-known Ferrari red shade to spare everyone from disappointment.

The Details

The guys then added the windshield, windows, and a glass engine cover.

Then came red brake calipers, taillights, headlights, and, of course, Ferrari badges everywhere.

The guys were able to drive their very own Ferrari through their small Vietnamese village after eight months of hard work.

Very impressive.
