The 482kw AWD Hybrid Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray can reach 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.

In celebration of the "Vette's" 70th birthday, the C8 has combined the naturally aspirated V8 of the Stingray with an electric motor.

The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, which has been awaited for a long time, is here, but it does things a little differently than other hybrid supercars. First and foremost, the part-leccy C8 retains a V8 engine, in stark contrast to the McLaren Artura and Ferrari 296 GTB, which each utilize a V6.

Additionally, the E-Ray's front-axle-mounted motor does not have to compensate for turbo lag, which is unusual in the hybrid performance car industry. Yes, the Corvette Stingray's 6.2-liter "LT2" naturally aspirated V8 is mounted in the middle. Therefore, throttle response ought to be rather rapid.

With 364 kilowatts, the LT2 is not lacking in poke. The E-Ray has a total power output of 482 kilowatts when the front-axle motor is added, which results in some jaw-dropping straight-line performance. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2.5 seconds.
