These are the ones that people really wanted to see, more than any other staged vehicle-to-barrier test.

It's a good idea to check out how your potential vehicle will react in the unfortunate event of a collision if you're looking for a new or used car. Even if you're not looking to buy a car, watching crash test videos is entertaining. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's compilation of the five most watched crash tests from the previous year is remarkable.

5 PLACE: 2022 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is a monster off-road, but in the small front overlap crash test, its high center of gravity doesn't make it the best. The Jeep Wrangler does not exactly pass the test with flying colors, as you can see in the video above. For its front overlap crash test, the 21 Wrangler received a marginal rating from the IIHS.

4 PLACE: 2021 Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco's high center of gravity, like that of the Wrangler from Jeep, helps it clear obstacles well but can cost it points in certain crash situations. However, as the video demonstrates, the Bronco performs better than its crosstown rival on the front overlap test. The IIHS gave the Bronco a higher score than the Jeep on its small front overlap test.

3 PLACE: 2022 Subaru BRZ

Since the 2022 model year marked the introduction of Subaru's second-generation BRZ, the sport coupe's devotees naturally gravitated toward its crash test video. It only makes sense to examine how the redesigned coupe reacts in the event of a crash, given the combination of genuine curiosity and market research.

2 PLACE: 2013 Chevrolet Spark

The Chevrolet Spark is coming out of production, and the model from 2013 hasn't been useful since it came out. However, one of the many factors that may have prompted people to watch this test was the highly inflated cost of cars, which led buyers to look at less expensive options that they had previously overlooked. Or, as one commenter points out, YouTube's algorithm could have simply pushed the video to viewers. Regardless, in 2013, the Spark was given an Acceptable rating.

1 PLACE: 2021 Tesla Model Y

According to the safety organization, the most-viewed IIHS crash test of the previous year was the most recent addition to Tesla's lineup. Since the test was uploaded to YouTube, the battery-electric compact crossover has received over 283,000 views and received a favorable crash rating from the IIHS.
