This insane superbike should be built by Maserati.

Over the past 50 years, Maserati hasn't made a motorcycle, but maybe that should change. Tomáš Klečka, a Czech student of automotive design, definitely believes so. He might have come up with this crazy idea for that reason.

Kleka refers to the Maserati E-Superbike Concept as a sketch that was actually created for a Maserati design competition. The bike resembles something from an Alien film.

It appears as though a single block of composite material was used to create the bodywork. The electric engine is in the middle, the seat is in the slim rear section, and the fender is in the front section. Hub-less rims are installed on the massive wheels.

The body is painted in a dark red and has a large white stripe with the brand's recognizable trident logo on it.

Although no specific technical details have been provided, we do know that the bike is intended to be electric. This suggests that the 105-horsepower Harley-Davidson LiveWire could be challenged by the Maserati superbike. In practice, we believe it is comparable to the Aston Martin AMB001, a motorcycle that Aston built in collaboration with Brough Superior.

The Aston Martin AMB001 costs $120,000, or roughly the same as some supercars. It's likely that this crazy Maserati superbike would cost even more.

Maserati’s history with motorcycles

The reign of Maserati as a motorcycle manufacturer was relatively brief. In the late 1940s, the company began producing components, primarily for third-party businesses, but ceased production just a decade later. By 1960, Maserati had already abandoned bikes in favor of automobiles.
