The Hyundai Kona has been redesigned to be more in line with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the lineup.

Despite being similar to the Kia Niro, Hyundai claims that the Kona was initially designed as an electric vehicle. This indicates that modifications were developed for both the hybrid and ICE versions rather than the reverse.

The new version of this small SUV now has the pixelated lights that were seen on the Ioniq 5 and make it a popular choice for urban dwellers.

The interior of the new Hyundai Kona is more spacious and futuristic than that of the previous model, and it is better designed for passengers. Once more, some of the style from the Ioniq 5 is used.

As a result, the interior has a lounge-like feel thanks to the ambient lighting and the twin 12.3-inch displays that curve behind the steering wheel.

At this time, Hyundai is only showing off the design, so there are no official details about its power or anything else.

However, we anticipate that the new Hyundai Kona will closely resemble the Kia Niro EV, which has a battery capacity of 64.8 kWh and produces 201 bhp while driving the front wheels.

We were able to travel approximately 268 miles on a single charge. It will be interesting to see if Hyundai comes out with the same specs or makes adjustments to increase the charging rate, as Kia's model supports 72 kW peak charging.
