The smallest garbage truck in the world was made by the Fiat 500e.

Of all the vehicles in the world to convert into a garbage truck, someone’s chosen to do it with a Fiat 500e, strapping a garbage bin to the back of it.

A body kit, alloy wheels, maybe even an exhaust system; all common car modifications.

So, why would someone add a garbage bin to the back of a Fiat 500e?

That’s the question we’re desperately seeking the answer to.

We don't deny that the Fiat 500e is a useful little car for cruising around town.

Sadly, there is only one image and little background information to accompany it.

However, the fact that the Fiat 500e is posted to the Dutch Facebook page dumpert.nl in addition to its license plate suggests that it is from the Netherlands.

Another question is whether the garbage can works, but the rubber seals on its edges suggest that it might.

On the other hand, the garbage can could have been fastened to the back of the vehicle to advertise a business that collects and disposes of waste in the area.

However, as would be expected, there is no branding to suggest that is the case.

The Fiat 500e garbage truck has a significantly better appearance than a standard garbage truck.

However, it goes without saying that installing a garbage can on the back of the Fiat 500e will significantly impact its aerodynamics.

That will mean its reach will probably be decreased which considering passage level models with the 24 kWh battery can travel 185 km on a charge.

A Fiat 500e with a larger 42 kWh battery is an option, increasing the range to up to 320 kilometers.

We'd like to say that the 500e garbage truck is the coolest 500e, but the Abarth 500e is the winner of that competition.
